We’re proud to share that Sirap Ltd has been recognised as a Synology Platinum Partner — the highest tier in Synology’s global partner programme, and a first for Malta. Platinum status isn’t bought; it’s earned through a track record of demanding enterprise deployments, certified technical expertise, and a sustained commitment to supporting customers long after the sale. For businesses across the island, it means the most accredited Synology team in Malta is now a local phone call away.
What Platinum Partner status means for your business
Synology reserves its top tier for partners that can prove three things: real-world enterprise deployments, certified engineering across the full product range, and the local infrastructure to support customers properly. In practice that gives you pre-sales consultancy from engineers who design Synology systems every week rather than a salesperson reading a spec sheet; correctly sized solutions, because we model your capacity, performance and backup needs before you commit; and a direct, high-priority escalation line back to Synology when it matters. It’s the difference between buying a box and buying an outcome.
Why a local Platinum Partner beats buying online
Anyone can ship a NAS. What separates a successful deployment from an expensive shelf ornament is design, configuration and support — and that’s where being local counts. We hold Synology hardware in stock in Malta for fast availability, configure systems before they reach you, and back every deployment with on-island support and same-day recovery for critical systems. No customs delays on a replacement unit, no time-zone gap when something breaks, and a team that understands the Maltese regulatory and business environment first-hand.
The full Synology range, deployed and supported locally
As a Platinum Partner we specify, supply, configure and support the complete Synology ecosystem for Maltese businesses:
| Range | Best for | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| DS+ Series DiskStation | Small & medium business | File sharing, backup, first NAS |
| XS / XS+ Series | High-performance enterprise | Virtualisation, media, dense storage |
| SA Series | Mission-critical workloads | Dual-controller High Availability |
| FS Series FlashStation | Performance-intensive I/O | All-flash block & file storage |
| ActiveProtect | Centralised data protection | Immutable, audit-ready backup |
| DVA Series | Surveillance | AI-powered network video recording |
The work behind the certification
Platinum status reflects a year of intensive projects across the Maltese market. Three stand out — and we’ve written up each as a detailed case study.
Compliance and resilient backup. With NIS2 and DORA reshaping how organisations protect data, we built backup strategies around Synology immutable snapshots and air-gapped offsite copies — architectures designed to satisfy auditors and, more importantly, to actually recover when something goes wrong. Large-scale media storage. A local film and video production company needed fast, shared storage for multi-editor 4K workflows. We deployed a high-density Synology system with 10GbE and SSD cache, protected by an Eaton UPS. Read the video editing case study →
High Availability where downtime isn’t an option. We deployed a dual-controller Synology SA3200D in active-passive configuration, with Hyper Backup pushing an air-gapped offsite copy to an XS+ RackStation — all backed by SirapCare. Read the High Availability case study →
SirapCare — support that goes beyond the warranty
Hardware is only as good as the support behind it. Every Synology system we supply can be backed by SirapCare, our dedicated support programme built around four pillars:
- Advanced replacement — a replacement unit is dispatched before the faulty one is returned, so you’re not waiting on logistics while your business waits on you.
- Warranty extensions — protect your investment well beyond the standard cover, with predictable costs and no surprises down the line.
- Preventive maintenance — scheduled health checks that catch ageing drives, capacity ceilings and configuration drift before they cause an outage.
- Configuration support — as your environment grows and changes, our engineers are on hand to reconfigure, expand and tune your storage.
Combined with our Platinum-backed SLAs and same-day recovery for critical systems, SirapCare is the kind of safety net that simply isn’t available when you buy hardware off a shelf.
Free configuration and setup on complete systems
When you buy a complete system from Sirap — a Synology NAS unit together with a minimum of three drives — free configuration and setup support is included. Our engineers handle the initial deployment: RAID and storage pool setup, DSM configuration, user and permission structure, shared folders, and backup or sync settings, so the system arrives ready to use. You’re up and running correctly from day one, with none of the misconfigurations that quietly put data at risk.
New for 2026 — the Synology XS+ enterprise lineup we now deploy
Synology’s 2026 rollout has firmly cemented the company as an enterprise-first vendor, with a wave of high-performance XS+ models arriving this year. As a Platinum Partner, Sirap can specify, supply and deploy the full range:
- RS6426xs+ — a 3U powerhouse supporting up to 64 drives, for large-scale data, backup and surveillance under one roof.
- RS4826xs+ — a 2U model scaling to 48 drives, for mid- to high-end enterprise environments.
- RS3626xs+ — the refreshed successor to the popular RS3621xs+.
- RS1626xs+ — enterprise performance and scalability in a compact, short-depth 1U chassis.
Synology has also refreshed its all-flash FlashStation segment and is pushing further into NVMe and AI-integrated storage. If you’re planning a refresh or new deployment in 2026, these platforms offer more headroom and a longer runway than the models they replace.
Looking ahead — immutable, centralised data protection
We’re also preparing to deploy Synology’s new ActiveProtect appliances, including the DP7400 — purpose-built units engineered for rapid deployment and recovery, with centralised management and immutable backup at their core. For organisations consolidating fragmented backup tools into a single, audit-ready platform, this is a major step forward.
Work with Malta’s Synology Platinum Partner
Whether you need a single DiskStation for a growing team, a High Availability cluster for mission-critical services, or a 64-bay RackStation for enterprise-scale storage, Sirap brings Platinum-certified expertise, local stock and SirapCare support to every deployment.
