The Eaton 5SC is the standard tier of Eaton’s line-interactive UPS range, for light servers, network equipment and the kit that keeps an office connected. It delivers pure sinewave output, so it suits sensitive equipment such as active-PFC server power supplies, and conditions a wide range of input voltage through buck-and-boost without using the battery. With an LCD interface and network management, it is the line-interactive UPS for infrastructure rather than just a single PC.

What is the 5SC for?

It protects rack or tower servers, NAS and storage, switches and network equipment, ATMs, ticket machines and kiosks, loads that need clean, dependable power and the ability to shut down cleanly during a longer outage. It sits a tier above the workstation-class 5E Gen2 and below the premium 5P and 5PX. Key features

Pure sinewave output. In battery mode the 5SC delivers a clean sinewave for sensitive equipment, including active-PFC server power supplies.

Buck-and-boost regulation. It corrects a wide range of input voltage variation continuously, without draining the battery.

LCD and network management. A clear LCD shows input/output voltage, load, battery level and estimated runtime; a slot takes an optional SNMP/Web or relay card, with USB and serial as standard.

Longer battery life. Eaton ABM three-stage charging extends battery life by up to 50 percent, with automatic battery test and deep-discharge protection.

Which Eaton UPS is right for you?

The 5SC is the standard line-interactive choice for light servers and infrastructure. Below it, the 5E Gen2 covers workstations; above it, the 5P Gen2 and 5PX Gen2 add premium metering, management and runtime options.
