The Eaton 5PX Gen2 is the top of Eaton’s line-interactive range, the premium choice for server racks and comms rooms that want the best line-interactive protection, management and runtime flexibility. It runs at unity power factor, so it delivers full watts for its VA rating, carries a graphical LCD, supports extended battery modules for longer runtime, and takes Eaton’s Gigabit network card with dual cybersecurity certification. It is the line-interactive unit for the rack you care about most.

What is the 5PX Gen2 for?

It protects server racks, comms rooms and demanding edge sites where you want premium line-interactive power with proper metering, secure management and the option to extend runtime as needs grow. It is the premium peer of the 5P Gen2 in a larger RT2U/RT3U body; the like-for-like online unit is the 9PX, for loads that cannot tolerate any transfer. Unity power factor. A 1.0 power factor means the watt rating equals the VA rating, so you get the full real power for the rack.

Graphical LCD and metering. Clear at-a-glance status and configuration, with energy and load metering.

Extended runtime. Supports up to four extended battery modules (EBMs) to reach the runtime your load needs, with ABM battery management and load segments to shed non-essential equipment.

Secure network management. Takes the Eaton Gigabit network card, certified to UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2, for secure networked monitoring and shutdown.

Which Eaton UPS is right for you?

The 5PX Gen2 is the premium line-interactive choice. If you need the same class in a compact 1U, the 5P Gen2 fits; for standard infrastructure, the 5SC; for workstations, the 5E Gen2.
