The Eaton 9SX Gen2 takes the standard online tier up into higher single-phase power, from 5kVA to 11kVA at unity power factor, for server rooms, network closets and larger racks that need continuous, fully isolated power. It runs at up to 97.2% efficiency in online mode, which is high for a double-conversion unit, takes the secure Network-M3 card as standard, and uses predictive battery analytics to flag battery health before it becomes a problem. It is the unit for a single-phase load that has grown beyond the smaller 9SX but does not yet need three-phase.

What is the 9SX Gen2 for?

It protects larger single-phase server rooms, storage and network infrastructure that need gap-free power at 5kVA to 11kVA, in a rack or tower. Because it runs at unity power factor, the kW rating equals the kVA rating, so it carries the full real load you would expect from the number on the box. For lower single-phase ratings, the 9SX covers 700VA to 3000VA; for the premium feature set and lithium options at the same power, see the 9PX; and for larger three-phase loads, the 93PS. Key features

Unity power factor. A 1.0 power factor means the watt rating equals the kVA rating, so the 11kVA unit carries 11kW of real load.

High online efficiency. Up to 96.7% on the 5 and 6kVA models and up to 97.2% on the 8 and 11kVA models in full online mode, which keeps running cost and heat down without giving up double-conversion protection.

Secure management as standard. Ships with the Eaton Network-M3 card, certified to UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2, for secure networked monitoring and graceful shutdown.

Predictive battery health. Optimised ABM+ charging with predictive analytics that pinpoints battery condition and the best time to replace, so you plan a swap rather than discover a failure.

Extended runtime. Up to four external battery modules to reach longer runtime targets, in a 3U body at 5 and 6kVA or 4U at 8 and 11kVA.
