What the ZD421 is for

The ZD421 is Zebra’s mainstream 4-inch desktop printer: the workhorse for shipping, inventory, product and shelf-edge labels in retail, healthcare, light manufacturing and the back office. It builds on the legacy of the GK Series with a far more powerful architecture and one feature no other thermal printer has, a snap-in ribbon cartridge that loads in seconds. It comes in standard, ribbon-cartridge (ZD421C) and healthcare (ZD421-HC) models, and fits the labelling and barcoding setups Sirap builds.

Who it is for

Maltese retail, healthcare, logistics and office operations printing full 4-inch labels at desktop volumes. Choose the ZD421C if you want fool-proof, fast ribbon changes; the ZD421-HC for clinical use. If you only print small 2-inch labels, the ZD411 is more compact; for premium features and a colour touchscreen, step up to the ZD621; for the lowest-cost basics, the ZD200.

Ribbon changes in seconds (ZD421C). The only thermal printer with a snap-in ribbon cartridge: fool-proof, one-way, first-time loading, with a smart chip that tells you when the ribbon needs replacing, so changes take seconds and waste less.

Clear status, simple operation. Five LED icons and an advanced three-button interface replace the single-button design of basic desktops, and colour-coded touch points guide quick media changes, cutting training time and calls to IT.

Drops into your fleet. Backwards compatible with virtually any existing printer, supporting EPL and ZPL and emulating other brands via Print DNA Virtual Devices, so you keep your existing label formats.

What is the ZD421-HC?
